Southern Anthem

A love of trucks runs through the lifeblood of HWR – obviously. So, the Group was quietly stoked that late last year, one of our Southern Transport trucks featured on the cover of the NZ Trucking magazine for a very special edition.

The October 2022 edition of the magazine included an extended feature on the Mack Anthem driven by Southern Transport’s Nick Young. It’s a piece for the truckies and lovers of trucks out there – an ode to a stunning piece of Mack machinery making its way across the roads of the south.

Bill Richardson loved Mack trucks - no doubt he would have enjoyed this feature on the Mack Anthem. The story’s publication also was also timely, with Motor Truck Distributors (MTD) celebrating its 50th year of operation in the same month.
