Founder Bill Richardson, was responsible for making the Group the success it is today. He created a culture based on strong relationships with staff and operational and corporate partners; and a positive ‘can do’ attitude. After his death in 2005, the family continued their business operations following the guidelines set out by Bill.

While HW Richardson Group employs over 1,000 staff, operates 740 heavy trucks, and runs over 50 concrete plants, the company has retained its personal touch. All managers maintain regular contact with staff and customers.

H W Richardson Group

Two of these Ford Thornton’s were bought in 1949; the first new vehicles purchased.

HW Richardson Group is proudly owned and operated by the Richardson family. Beginning in general transportation, the company has extended its interests nationwide and now includes ready mix concrete, fuel and lubricant distribution, and contracting. The Group’s head office is in Invercargill, New Zealand.

Two of these Ford Thornton’s were bought in 1949; the first new vehicles purchased.

Fleet Direct

HWR Fleet Direct sells surplus plant and equipment on behalf of HW Richardson Group. The Group takes pride in the way its fleet is maintained and presented and all gear is in good working order. HWR Fleet Direct has a wide range of vehicle and equipment makes, with something to suit most needs.
