Recent wins at the Annual Concrete NZ Awards has seen Allied Concrete once again recognised for its technical and operational expertise.
Owned by the H.W. Richardson Group, Allied Concrete took out the 2018 Technical Excellence Award for its project work on the strengthening of the New Brighton Pier, after it was badly damaged in the Christchurch earthquakes. It also received a special commendation for this work.
Allied Concrete also won the 2018 Sustainability Award for Excellence in Commercial Concrete Construction, for its development of Structural Lightweight Concrete which was used in the lightweight precast panels of AUT’s Engineering Tech building.
Technical Project Manager Chris Munn was awarded an Honorary Membership to the NZ Concrete Learned Society for his life-long contribution to the NZ Concrete Industry.
