ATL Ltd

ATL Limited is the freight arm of the HW Richardson Group  running in and out Central Otago to various centers throughout the south island. Their peek time cartage period is through the summer months when the fruit is being harvested and being distributed throughout the South Island.  ATL run 20 units of various configurations to maximize their freight business.  This very busy company is managed by Craig Hammond who has a wealth of knowledge in the transport industry.

Freight Haulage Ltd

Freight Haulage has been in the business of containerised freight handling in Southland for more than 30 years and is arguably the biggest transporter of containerised goods in the region.  The company operates a fleet of 18 trucks, swing lift and flat deck units for containerised goods, curtain side trucks for general freight, tip truck and trailers for bulk products and five forklifts complement the services provided.

Freight Haulage has over 15,000m2 of covered storage complete with a certified weighbridge and a rail siding making this a unique storage and logistics facility.

Heavy Haulage Ltd

Heavy Haulage is a specialist transport company based on the outskirts of Invercargill operating a fleet of four heavy trucks.  The company focuses on over-weight and over-dimension loads and can carry loads up to 90 tones, and provide Class 2 piloting. Transporters can also be used to move smaller equipment such as diggers and boats.

Purdue Bros Ltd

Purdue Bros Ltd, one of Southland’s most respected transport companies, began business in 1947. Today, the company has a fleet of 15 trucks, 9 of which have truck-mounted Palfinger Cranes.  Purdue Bros has specialised equipment to enhance the cranes, making them capable of transporting 27 meter long-run iron with a trombone trailer, or placing it on a roof with an 11 tonne lift.  Crane accessories, including an auger, pallet forks, workman’s basket and concrete bucket also enhance the productivity and range of options available. Class 1 and Class 2 pilots are available for any over-dimension loads.

Southern Transport - Logging

Southern Transport - Logging, based in Winton, has been involved in the industry since 1946. The logging fleet which now comprises 18 trucks, has more than tripled in size in the last 10 years. The company cart logs locally to destinations including Winton and Mataura, along with export logs to Port Chalmers, Dunedin and South Port, Bluff.  Southern Transport – Logging has a close working relationship with other logging contractors in Otago and Southland.
